We reconfigured the main feed into the house and used the 100 amp transfer switch that came with the generator. The electrical inspector approved the installation. Frequently we receive calls from individuals or contractors that feel these 100 amp ATS’s aren’t useful. The good news is that in some cases these ATS’s can work wonderfully when correctly installed.
We located the generator around the corner from the ATS.
If you look closely you can see this trench extending over 100 feet to the propane Tank.
Inside we installed an entirely new panel for the generator loads.
